My quest for culinary Nirvana. The aim is to scour the land in the pursuit of the perfect portion of Fish & Chips. I’m not talking about some poncy Rick Stein type affair. No, I’m after a proper chippy, takeaway should cost between £3 and £6, if you can eat in about £5 to £7. Fish and Chips is the UK’s soul food, it’s the only dish we can truly call our own. It’s the food of the people and of the streets and I aim to tramp down those mean streets until I’ve tasted perfection.
